Overview

Acts as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Diagnostic Imaging department, facilitating patient flow throughout the Virtual clinic, or inpatient visit. This may involve booking, registration, preparing a patient for an examination and arranging pos t-visitfollow-up. Acts as receptionist and performs clerical duties including data entry. In addition, maintains statistical information for various patient care areas within the Health Services. Relates to patient and their families in a professional a nd courteous manner and interacts collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary staff to provide patient centered care.

Education

- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation.
- Post secondary education preferred.
- Training related to office administration/office coordination or relevant experience.
- Training medical terminology preferred

Qualifications

- 2 years of relevant recent clerical experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital ESM, Powerchart, OTN systems preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to type a minimum of 35-45 wpm.
- Computer literacy required; demo nstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters related to patients, staff, and hospital affairs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal a nd written.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail while providing high standards of accura cy and efficiency.
- Will be expected to work in all areas of Diagnostic Imaging Department.
- Excellent work and attendance record required.
