Effective November 1, 2024, families and care partners are strongly encouraged (but not required) to wear a mask while with a patient at the hospital.  Masks can be found at hospital entrances, in the Patient Registration office or on clinical units.

Parking

MGH’s main public parking is the Dewji Family and Mr. Lube Parking Garage (entrance on Sammon Avenue east of Coxwell Ave.). Metered parking is available around the hospital.

Preparing to leave the hospital

When your medical team determines that you are ready to go home, they will:

  • Review your medications with you and tell you what side effects to watch for
  • Discuss any challenges that may occur at home
  • Let you know about any follow-up appointments
