Getting to the family birthing centre
Expectant parents should come directly to the Family Birthing Centre on J7 when in labour or with any urgent concerns after 20 weeks gestation.
Parents with labour symptoms or urgent concerns before 20 weeks gestation should go to their nearest hospital emergency department.
Most entrances at MGH are locked from the evenings until 6 a.m. During these times, you can enter the hospital through the Stavro Emergency Department only. See hospital entrances on our hospital campus map.
We encourage you to plan ahead by viewing our hospital parking and food and retail services.
