Continuing the tradition of orthopaedic excellence, our surgeons care for patients with a wide spectrum of sports- and arthritis-related conditions, as well as traumatic injuries.
Our vision is to provide passionate and patient-centred care for all patients. As community teaching hospital that is affiliated with the University of Toronto, we are committed to teaching and clinical research. Through innovative solutions, we strive to provide state-of-the-art care.

Arthritis and sports injuries are leading causes for disability and impairment in Canada. Though many of these conditions are managed conservatively, surgery can be very effective for end-stage arthritis and certain sports-related injuries. Our surgeons work with patients and their families to individualize a treatment plan.
To expedite care for hip and knee arthritis patients, MGH established a Rapid Access Clinic (RAC). Through this clinic, access to consultation and assessment is standardized and streamlined. Our goal is to provide team-based care. In the future, RAC will be expanded to include other musculoskeletal conditions, such as low back pain and upper extremity conditions.
