This clerical position supports the operations of the Virtual Ward or Remote Care Monitoring Program. In collaboration with other team members, the Unit Clerk II acts as part of a multidisciplinary team in a receptionist role and performs clerical dutie s including data entry, creating digical patient profiles and generating patient encounters and maintaining statistical information for the Remote Care Monitoring Program.
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation
- Proficient computer and keyboarding skills required
- Previous Unit Clerk experience preferred.
- Related experience an asset.
- Experience with web based Remote Care Monitoring platforms is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrates basic mathematical skills.
- D emonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters related to patients, staff, and hospital affairs.
- Demonstrates compliance with confidentiality requirements.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and the willingness to work effectively individuall y and in a team
environment.
- Ability to maintain a consistent level of productivity and efficiency.

- Must be prepared to work in all areas of the Surgery Health Service.
- Good work and attendance record required.
