Dr. Catre studied Biochemistry and Microbiology at the University of Toronto, earning a Double Specialist degree in 1987. He completed his Masters of Science Degree at the University of Toronto, Department of Biochemistry with research in Platelet Clearance Mechanisms. He completed medical school at the University of Toronto and then entered the Gallie Surgical Training Program at the University of Toronto. He completed his surgical training in Orthopaedic Surgery and received his Fellowship in Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 2000. His Fellowship was in Adult Reconstructive General Orthopaedics. In addition, he has developed extensive knowledge and skill in Arthroscopic Reconstruction (Sports Medicine) of the Shoulders, Elbows, Knees and Ankles. His clinical areas of interest include: Joint Arthroplasty – Shoulders, Elbows, Hips, Knees Sports Medicine – Arthroscopy of Shoulders, Elbows, Knees, Ankles Foot and Ankle Reconstruction
