Statement from Sarah Downey, President & CEO, Michael Garron Hospital

“2020 has been an unpredictable and unforgettable year, full of challenges and hardships for individuals and communities across Ontario, Canada and around the world. There is still a challenging road ahead, but this milestone marks the beginning of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is an incredible accomplishment to have developed a COVID-19 vaccine in less than one year and we are so proud to be a part of this moment in history. We look forward to the day where we can provide our entire East Toronto community with equitable access to the COVID-19 vaccine.”
