Information Technology (IT) Forms || Access various system, hardware and application request forms using the secure iCare staff portal.
VPN - Remote Access Overview for first-time users
- Step 1 - Review & Complete the VPN Remote Access Request Form.
- Step 2 (optional) - If accessing Citrix applications, install Citrix Workspace software on your computer. Download Citrix Workspace.
- Step 3 - Install Symantec VIP Access software on your computer (or smartphone). Download Symantec VIP.
- Step 4 - Wait for your access approval confirmation email from the IT Helpdesk.
- Step 5 - Access VPN from the MGH Website "For Staff" page, or:
- Option 1) Log in to Full VPN here: https://vpn.tehn.ca; or
- Option 2) Log in to Citrix Storefront here: https://citrix.tehn.ca.

VPN TERMINOLOGY EXPLAINED
- VPN Full Access >>> Grants users access to the MGH hospital network as though they are sitting on-premise.
- Citrix Storefront = Citrix WebApps = Citrix XenApps >>> All these terms mean the same thing and are sometimes used interchangeably. "Citrix Storefront" replaces these terms. The Storefront grants users access to various Citrix and web-based applications, including Cerner, Muse, ESM Scheduling, Dragon, etc.
- Citrix Gateway >>> The gateway is a plug-in tool. It is required for users to access the Full VPN environment.
- Citrix Workspace = Citrix Receiver >>> These are applications required to access the Citrix Storefront. The Workspace app replaces the legacy Receiver app however, the Receiver app will continue to work if already installed.
