Overview

Acts as a Receptionist and performs clerical duties including data entry in Ansos and maintains statistical information for patient care delivery in the Out Patient Clinics. Relates to patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner an d interacts collaboratively with the interdisciplinary staff to provide patient-centered care.

Education

- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation.
- Training related to office administration/office coordinator.

Qualifications

- 2 years of relevant recent experience working as a unit clerk.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Computer literacy required; demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Skill in use of Powerchart, Ansos, SAP/SRM.
- Demonstrates ability to provide patient centred, customer service care.
- Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters related to patients, staf f, and hospital affairs.
- Able to work independently as well as work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills.
- Must be prepared to work in all areas of Surgical Health Se rvices (skills & abilities considered).
- Good work and attendance record required.
