Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), this position provides administrative support to the Occupational Health team. In this role, the incumbent will be the first point of contact for all incoming inquiries, primarily focused on d isability management, OHS clinics and safety programs, policies and procedures. The incumbent will also participate in special projects related to Occupational Health & Safety. This will require strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to maintai n strict confidentiality, excellent computer proficiency and a superior focus on customer service. The OHS Administrative Assistant manages the organizational and administrative needs of the OHS department.

Education

- Completion of a recognized post-secondary program preferably Business Administration/Human Resources or equivalent.

Qualifications

- Minimum of three (3) years recent relevant experience required (in a healthcare/ hospital environment preferred)
- Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Sharepoi nt)
- Excellent communication (oral and written)skills are required
- Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential data effectively required
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure util izing critical thinking skills is required
- Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment; be self-directed, creative, flexible and tactful is required
- Knowledge of Parklane and RL Solutions is preferred
- Superior typing skills with the ability to prepare minutes and complete all necessary reporting and forms required
- Highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and handle a busy workload with frequent interruption.
- Demonstrated knowledge of promoting process improvement and steering positive change preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze statistical data required
