MGH's Gratitude Gallery

Sometimes the greatest things start with the smallest ideas.

When Shelley Darling, director of corporate communications and maternal newborn and child, saw a Facebook message with a child’s heartfelt drawing thanking MGH’s healthcare workers, she had a thought. “How can we make sure all our colleagues get to see these drawings and shout-outs from our community?”

Thus, the Gratitude Gallery was born – a large-scale display of letters, drawings, photos and quotes all expressing gratitude for our incredible staff, clinicians and physicians who have been working around the clock during COVID-19.

“My hope for the Gratitude Gallery is that it gives our staff something positive to look at when walking into work each day – something to lift their spirits and let them know how much our community appreciates them,” says Shelley.

Take a look at some of the current pieces we are featuring on our gallery. Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of acknowledgement and recognition, it is greatly appreciated!
