Dr. Gilbert possesses expertise in ultrasound guided regional anesthesia techniques and completed a fellowship in regional anesthesia at St. Michael’s Hospital. She also has an interest in patient safety and quality improvement and completed a Certificate in Patient Safety and Quality Management through the University of Calgary.
Dr. Gilbert currently holds a staff anesthesiologist appointment at Michael Garron Hospital where she is the clinical lead of their regional anesthesia program. She is actively involved in the development and implementation of a block room, as well as the leading quality improvement initiatives including an outpatient total joint arthroplasty program.
