The Family Medicine Residency Program at MGH is one of the largest Family Medicine Residency Program sites affiliated with the University of Toronto. All teaching sites provide an interdisciplinary approach to primary care, working closely with interprofessional care team members including psychiatry consultants, nurse practitioners, dietitians, chiropodists and social care providers. This ensures the highest quality of patient care and gives Family Medicine residents a comprehensive perspective on community practice.
The TEHN–MGH Family Medicine Undergraduate Program provides diverse and comprehensive learning opportunities for 18 medical students per year, across seven community-based sites. This distributed model ensures exposure to a wide range of practice settings, patient populations and interprofessional teams.
