The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) is a large and diverse department, with over 200 credentialed family physicians. Our family physicians provide comprehensive primary care through their community-based practices and affiliated clinic sites, working closely with hospital teams and community partners to support integrated, patient-centred care.
Family physicians at MGH play a vital role across the care continuum. In addition to delivering office-based primary care, many contribute their expertise within the hospital, including in obstetrics, palliative care and emergency services.
Through strong partnerships and a commitment to collaboration, the Department of Family and Community Medicine supports seamless connections between community and hospital care, helping to meet the diverse needs of East Toronto residents.
