Michael Garron Hospital chooses MMC Pharmacy Services

Michael Garron Hospital Chooses MMC Pharmacy Services

Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) is pleased to share that it is joining Mohawk Medbuy's (MMC) Pharmacy Services.

This move builds on the portfolio of MMC shared service offerings that MGH already utilizes, including Strategic Sourcing, In-Hospital Logistics and Member IT Services. MMC’s national, not-for-profit structure provides value-based procurement, analytics and supply chain solutions to hundreds of health care providers and public sector organizations, with a focus on data-driven insights to support the delivery of quality patient care.

“Our transition to MMC’s Pharmacy Services continues to build on the existing strong collaborative relationship between our two organizations,” said Mikki Layton, Vice President, Professional Practice, Programs, Scholarship and Chief Nursing Executive.  “The insights MMC can provide through their sophisticated data and analytics capabilities made this the right decision for our team, our patients and the community we serve.”

Mohawk Medbuy recently completed a multi-year, enterprise resource planning (ERP) modernization program in conjunction with six other Greater Toronto Area hospitals. The initiative, led by MMC IT Services, involved a significant upgrade to the SAP platform used by these Member hospitals, transitioning them to an AI-enabled, cloud-based infrastructure that will ensure secure, system-wide continuity.

“MGH’s decision reflects the importance of integrated, data-driven solutions in today’s health care environment,” said Ally Dhalla, Senior Vice President, Pharmacy, Government and Clinical Services at MMC. “We’re pleased to advance our existing relationship and support their pharmacy team with the tools, expertise and insights needed to navigate a complex and evolving landscape.”
